At Brooks Village Green Homes, we always get excited around this time of year – spring is our favorite season! As the leaves come back to decorate the trees and the hills get green again, we feel that spring is the perfect time to spruce up your modular home with some fun decorations. That’s why for this blog, we’ll give you a couple of our favorite ways to decorate your modular home for spring!

First Thing First: Ambience!

Nothing will put you in the mood for spring-cleaning like a nice clean, fresh scent radiating through your modular home. Before you start in on cleaning or decorating, fill a pot with a shallow amount of water. Add 1 whole sliced lemon, 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary, and 1-3 tablespoons of vanilla. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer, adding water as needed to replenish what boils off. This creates a truly incredibly fresh, clean scent, and it couldn’t be easier!

Tulips for Your Prefabricated Home

Next up, try adding some color to your modular home with a vase full of tulips. While you can buy unsprouted bulbs and grow them the old fashioned way, for those of us with less of a green thumb, sprouted bulbs work just as well – all you need to do is buy potted bulbs from your local grocery store, garden center, or flower shop. Be sure to choose bulbs that haven’t yet bloomed. Once you’ve got the bulbs home, carefully empty the pot and shake off any dirt from the bulbs, taking care not to damage the roots. Rinse the bulbs under cool water. Place the washed bulbs into a vase over a bed of glass beads, then fill the vase with water to just under – but not quite touching – the level of the bulbs. Place the vase in a brightly lit room and viola, beautiful spring flowers for spring!
