Home Decoration Ideas for Summer
Summer is just around the corner, and at Brooks Village Green Homes, we couldn’t be more excited! Summer is one of our favorite seasons because it casts a brand new light on a home, allowing you to show off new parts of it, decorate it in new ways, and utilize more of the space than any other time of year. But before all that, you’ve got have to your modular home looking the part! Here are a few design ideas we love for getting a home in the mood for summer.
Be Bright, Be Bold
Summer loves to live out loud! Think warm, bright colors, and don’t be shy of loud accent pieces and bold furniture choices. Summer gives you a bit more creative license than the other seasons, so feel free to use it with deep oranges, reds, yellows, and even whimsical blues. Another thing to keep in mind when choosing pieces is that less is more – try thinking of your home as a summer vacation house and you’ll see a new world of possibilities. Toss out drapes and throw the windows open, let the light in, and add some color to your life!
Succulents in Seashells
This is one of our favorite ways to add instant character to a manufactured home. Get yourself a few succulents growing in a seashell – these pieces are perfect for foyers, dining rooms, bathrooms, kitchens – really any room in the house! They add a warm, organic touch to any furniture ensemble.
Go Outside
Part of the beauty of summer is that it allows you to use parts of the house that may be incapacitated during fall. Don’t be afraid to set an outside table for dinner or have long evening chats by the fireside! If you don’t have a firepit, fear not – this opens up some wonderful opportunities for lighting. Consider paper orb lanterns strung from trees or even gas lamps for a campier feel. Summer evenings are doubly sweet because they’re few and far between, so take advantage of them while they last!
