Three Ways to Dress Up Your Patio for Fall

Fall is just around the corner, and that means many of us are getting excited (or not so excited) for cooler weather, the first snowfall, and the warmth and cheer of the holiday season. But fall also presents some fun ways to seasonally decorate your modular home, and a patio is one of the best opportunities for this. At Brooks Village Green Homes, our mission is not only to connect you to your dream home, but also to help you enjoy it – so for this blog, we’re going to detail three simple tips for dressing your patio in style this fall season.

Gorgeous Gourds

Don’t be afraid to embrace the holiday spirit! Pumpkins, gourds, and winter squash of every size are a great way to add some unmistakable fall cheer to your porch. Just be sure to watch them carefully – if left out too long, they may start to rot and leave a goopy mess on your patio!

Autumnal Wreaths

While it’s decidedly too early for fir or holly wreaths, autumn is still a great time to adorn your door with a wreath. Go for wreaths with a warmer, more earth-toned color scheme – think nice shades of brown, orange, and soft whites. For materials, look for sticks and twigs, dried leaves, autumn flowers, and even mini pumpkins!

Gold & Silver Pinecones

This is a favorite trick of ours that looks beautiful but is deceptively simple. To start with, you’ll need to gather some pinecones – they can be any shape, size, or type, just choose the ones you like the best. Next, pick up some gold and silver spray paint. Lay out some newspapers and carefully spray the pinecones to cover the entire surface with the color of your choice. Once coated, leave them to dry for a few hours. They’ll be a great addition to almost any color and decor scheme!
